Who We are looking for...
Summer Camp Teacher
If you love summer and love kids 3-8 years old this is your job! We are outside 100% of our days together at the beach, in our garden at the Food Forest and romping around the woods. This would be a great job for someone wanting a little more experience working with younger kids or for someone who has experience and wants to enjoy the PNW summer with Little Wildlings.
Responsibilities:

Support children's curiosity through our emergent curriculum with educational tools, ideas and knowledge of native plants, native critters, gardening, etc.​
-
Ensure children's safety by being vigilant and thoughtful of the environment you're in.
-
Help children develop social/emotional skills by supporting their relationships with other Little Wildlings.
-
Communicate and collaborate with fellow educators/leads throughout your days together.
Qualifications:
-
At least 1 year of experience working with kids under the age of 10.
-
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
-
CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain).
-
Strong passion for working with younger children and being outdoors.
-
Ability to adapt to outdoor weather. Temperatures may range from 50-95 degrees with the possibility of rain and full exposure to sunlight. Full Access to classroom will be available in extreme weather conditions.
Position:​

20-25 hours per week.

Rate between $25-30 an hour depending on experience.

Paid sick leave and a healthcare stipend.

Co-Teacher
Work with us year round or just during the school year. If you enjoy collaborating alongside another teacher this is your job!
Responsibilities:
-
Provide an enriched child-centered environment for our little ones through an emergent curriculum with educational materials and support.

Communicate with families about children's days and and problem solve if needed.

Collaborate with co-teacher on curriculum, circle time, social/emotional dynamics in the classroom, etc.
-
Knowledge of (or enthusiasm to learn about) native plants, animals, systems and gardening.

Provide a nurturing environment for the children so they feel safe and excited to come to school.

Support children's social/emotional skills and relationships with others.
Qualifications:​

At least 2 years of experience working with preschoolers.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Confidence in working with children ages 2.5-6.
-
Ability to lift 30 pounds.

CPR/First Aid Certified (or willingness to obtain).

Passion for working with younger children and being outdoors.

Ability to adapt to outdoor weather. Temperatures ranging from 30-95 degree Fahrenheit, while in snow, rain, wind or direct sunlight. Full day access to our classroom will be available for extreme weather conditions.
Position:

Guaranteed 20-30 hours per week

Rates between $27-30 an hour depending on experience

Lead Teacher
If you're well experienced with preschools and confident in your abilities to communicate with both children and families and provide a nurturing, educational environment this could be your job!
Responsibilities:

We ask that you provide children with a caring, supportive environment where kids are able to freely explore their interests, learn how to develop relationships, and leave school feeling excited to come back next time.

Lead circle time with fun and educational songs, books and discussions.

Knowledge of (or enthusiasm to learn about) native plants, animals, systems and gardening.

Communicate confidently with families at drop-off, pick-up, and with allotted hours outside of school time.

Problem solve and communicate in a direct and thoughtful way with fellow educators, director, and families.

Confidently support children's social/emotional skills and relationships with others.
Qualifications:

At least 3 years experience working in a preschool setting.

Substitute Teacher
This is a great opportunity for someone who has a flexible schedule and wants to spend time with kids outside!
Responsibilities:

Ensure children's safety by being vigilant and thoughtful of the environment you're in.

Communicate and collaborate with fellow educators/leads throughout your days together.
Qualifications:

You may have minimal experience working with kids or you may be a well seasoned teacher that has the time and flexibility to be available.
